Stayed three nights at the Waldeck hotel where the restaurant is located and had dinner all three nights. Absolutely a shame to go anywhere else! Florian is the most dedicated and skilled chef, using creativity, local touch, various themes according to season and top quality ingredients throughout every dish. Fabulous St Jaques carpaccio, delicious lamb that came as chops, carré, curry to mention some (Easter theme), delicious desserts, and above all: German sized portions! The wine selection focused mainly on German varietals. Stayed at the hotel tremendous food and a pleasure for vegetarians! When I go abroad I am normally happy to be offered one vegatarian dish, staying at the Waldeck and eating at Florians I was truly spoilt. Our three children are vegetarians too and the children's menu accommodated accordingly and my eldest 13 was really pleased with the potatoe cakes. Just a pleasure to have fabulous service - thanks Cindy! And good food and wine and really inexpensive compared to other ski resorts we have frequented before. We will be booking again.
This restaurant looks quite typical for the area - quiet and understated, however it was a wonderful place for a meal on our last night staying in the Black Forest and we would definitely recommend a visit. A lone waitress did a great job of looking after all the tables (no one was left waiting for anything), the food was incredible and there are nice views across the valley from most tables. It's not really fine dining, but definitely above average restaurant food and reasonably priced for the quality of meals and service.
We have visited this restaurant several times over the last 3 years and love it more every time! The food is delicious! Today we enjoyed the deer steak entree', shrimp entree', the 3 noodle dish, and a vegetarian medley. The owners are very friendly and staff attentive. All dishes were very flavorful and the portion size was just right! Don't miss the pumpkin soup - it's amazing!! The staff is really friendly and speaks English well ;)

This hotel is simply recommended!!! Such hospitality is very rare. The Stoll family and staff are very accommodating and helpful. You're not too much. Our son Milan was warmly welcomed from the first day. The rooms are very nicely furnished and have everything you need for a great stay. Breakfast or dinner is very delicious. We have nothing to put on this property!! With this hotel you can do nothing wrong: we come back.

the interior of the restaurant is just awful - totally tasteless/styleless, but it's well compensated by the quality of the food. The meals are made from fresh ingredients and taste (and look) really good. The waiters don't speak English, no menu in English available.
