This is a cheap eats restaurant. The food is average. But the pastries are very good. I was taking a picture of the pastry stand to send to a friend of mine when I was told in French that I could not take photos of the food. My French is very poor at this point, even though I studied it for six years, but that was decades ago. Anyway, my friend translated for me and explained to the waitress that I was Americaine and did not know that I should not be taking photos. I 'm not sure why they did not allow photos, but okay. The worst part, however, was the cashier who was very abrasive and did not want to ring us up--there were four of us. Since the conversation was in French I did not understand...
