This is a true gem, a classic old school atmosphere with ambiance and decor. I visited 2 days in a row. I loved everything but sometimes restaurants that have a great following lose sight of a few things and cut corners. A life long patron sitting next to me told me the coffee wasn't good. A bit overrated. My husband and I went for our 2nd year anniversary. Service was standard and food wasn’t anything spectacular. I think I’m mostly comparing it to the service and quality of Capital Grille of which at this point I’d preference over this restaurant. Rose was a bit rude, didn’t seem like she cared to try much given that we didn’t look like her standard visitors. We tipped her well just because we could sense her thoughts about us.
We were told this was the best place to eat in Memphis. The food did not disappoint! Curt was one of the best servers I have ever had. He had worked there for 10 years and knew everything about the menu and the restaurant. The wagyu NY York steak was one of the best I have ever had. The plate came to the table sizzling and you could cut it with your fork. All of the sides we got were delicious you really can't go wrong with any of them.
This is one of the older dining establishments in the East Memphsis area. It turned out to be a fabulous place to have a 50 plus rehearsal dinner. The staff managed the food delivery with ease keeping the dinner entrees piping hot. The family style vegetables were delectable and the desserts were excellent. A great moment of fine dining.

This was my first time eating at this place and it was fantastic! The crab cakes were amazing. The salmon was cooked perfect and the augratan potatoes were so delicious. The pianist provided some great music while we dined. A must try if you're in the area.
Overall a lovely experience. Host staff weren't very friendly but service staff were EXCELLENT! The food was good.....but not $280 dinner for 2 good. 1 Appetizer, 1 salad (split), 2 entrees, 1 cocktail, NO dessert....$280!!!
Classic steakhouse American cousine stuff. Great food in abundance. If thats what you love then have fun — your upcoming heart attack and stroke are free of charge!
Great food, and great service! You paid for what you get! Atmosphere the whole nine yards even valet parking! I will definitely come and eat at Folk's Foley again!!
