I used to live near here and never got to try their food, so I stopped in yesterday when I was in the area. The space is pleasing, with a menu that has plenty of variety plus there are specials posted on a chalkboard. They have huge water glasses, which is a bonus for the heavy drinkers like me. ? I ordered two al pastor tacos and one barbacoa. My food arrived quickly and that server (a different one than the person who had taken my order) asked if I 'd like salsa. I said sure, then he offered chips! I said sure again. He brought salsa verde and yellow corn tortilla chips. He warned me that the salsa was hot and he wasn 't kidding but at the same time it was totally addictive. I probably ate...

It can be tricky to tell if the restaurant is open because the neon sign is tucked under the awning at the front door. Thankfully, there are two signs on the windows indicating that they are indeed open, but by that time, you might have already noticed the neon sign. Both times I visited (before and after 2020), the place was clean. During my last visit, I ordered tacos: one with tripe and two with tongue. The tripe was very flavorful, but the tongue was a bit tough and chewy. This time, I decided to try a Machete—not a weapon, but a taco that resembles a quesadilla (see photos). I got it with pork, and it was quite delicious and filling for $11, which is a reasonable price. The employee...

I finally had the chance to try this restaurant, and I’m glad I did! They offer a more authentic menu compared to the typical options found at most places, which usually consist of Tex-Mex dishes like burritos and chimichangas. The food was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I’m originally from Mexico City, and their lamb barbacoa tasted very similar to what I’m used to back home. The pastor was also great, and the gordita de chicharrón, which is really hard to find around here, was fantastic—large, packed with meat, and perfectly crunchy. They have other unique items on the menu that I haven’t seen anywhere else in St. Louis, such as cemitas, machetes, and mojarras. I can’t wait to go...

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've tried in St. Louis. Their menu is filled with unique dishes that I haven't seen at other places. The Al Pastor was the best I've ever had. I also loved the genuine atmosphere of the restaurant. I can't stop thinking about when I can return! Book a table now

Delicious authentic Mexican food!!! Friendly service and so yummy! I had the steak Mexican style with pinto beans and rice and corn tortillas for about $12. This will be our new go for quick and delicious food when in St. Louis.

If you can overlook the esthetics, this place offers insane bang for your buck for authentic Mexican. None of that Tex-Mex stuff found here. Book a table now
