The staff went above and beyond to make my evening special. On my last full day in Switzerland, all I wanted was Swiss fondue and visited Café Adler without prior reservation. No reservation is needed to eat in the underground cellar «Adlerkeller», but I was informed the it was not open because of the season (I believe it is only open in the winter/summer). The owner, however, made a generous exception and allowed me to have the entire cellar to myself this evening with a relaxed ambience, music, and, of course, the delicious fondue. I devoured the entire thing within minutes, learned proper fondue etiquette, and had a lovely chat with the staff regarding the building's history. It was a mem...
