This was my first time ordering delivery from Fong's, and I decided to try it based on the reviews I read here. I was not disappointed! The food arrived on time through their Menulog online delivery service, hot and well-prepared. The classic Chinese dishes we ordered were exactly what we expected here in Australia. The prawn toasts were generous and crispy, the chicken sweet corn soup was thick and flavorful (although I wish there was more chicken), the special fried rice had a delicious smoky taste, and the lemon chicken was perfectly balanced with a crispy texture. White man food. Washed out flavours, too much chilli, funky smells…what a disappointment. Steak and black bean: good size serving but that’s about it. No black bean flavour, watery overcooked beef, stringy overcooked vegetables. Char Kway Teow: not even close. Poor quality fish sauce or over ripe sausage, not sure, but smell not pleasant. Lots of heat from the chilli, no other flavours present, could even make it half way through the meal. Satay chicken: very mild, watery satay flavours. Overcooked chicken and vegetables. This restaurant is an excellent choice for dining on a budget. I went there with some girlfriends on a Friday night for a catch-up. The food was amazing, and our table was filled with delicious dishes like San choi Bao, Chicken Satays, and Buttery prawns. We also ordered Roti, but it never arrived, which wasn't a big deal since we already had plenty of food. Everything we tried was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The service was not overly friendly, but it wasn't unfriendly either. It could be seen as a little abrupt, but overall, it was good.

This restaurant in the inner west offers some of the best Asian cuisine around. With excellent service, affordable prices, and delicious dishes, it's hard to ask for anything more.
