I frequently visit Des Moines for overnight stays, but had never experienced Fong's Pizza until recently. I decided to give it a try and ordered a pulled pork BBQ Pizza for takeout. While I enjoyed the flavors, I found that there was very little meat on the pizza, only a few bites per slice. Additionally, the thin crust pizza seemed a bit overpriced at $16.00 for a 10-inch pizza. I will likely opt for a different, more popular pizza option on my next visit.
We came here while we were in town over the weekend and immediately loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The servers were warm and helpful. My husband had the crab Rangoon pizza, which I also tried and loved. Mozzarella sticks were wild! Egg roll wrapped mozzarella! Our small son ate his entire pizza except for one piece, so he must have liked it as well.
Killer little pizza joint in downtown Des Moines. People come for the Crab Rangoon pie, but the others are so good too. Check out the Southsider and sub out the olive oil for Alfredo sauce. Absolute fire. Good beer selection and great service, best pizza place in Iowa.
This is a great pizza place. The food was awesome and service was really good. We had a big party and they got us in and feed quickly. We only had one problem one of the pizza of the day was very spicy. If we had known we would have gotten something else Book a table now
Great pizza. I have eaten in the restaurant many times and most recently ordered it to take out. We tried the crab Rangoon pizza, which had a unique and delicious combination of flavors. The pizza egg rolls were also very flavorful.
Have the Crab Rangoon Pizza!!! Also the General Tso chicken pizza.... Spicy! Great place, great atmosphere. Have our NYC kids... One was hesitant, but we convinced him!
Had an amazing orange chicken pizza. Drinks were great. The food was great. Waiting staff was fun and fast. 1st time here (from Minneapolis). Would recommend everyone.

That was a reason for me. The Mac and cheese pizza is something to die. I recommend it to anyone who can get his hands on it. Best...
