We celebrated our anniversary at Fontana Di Trevi and had a wonderful experience with the service. The staff was very attentive and regularly checked in on us. We started with a pitcher of the 'Full of Grape' and the mussels appetizer from the Chef's Special, both of which were excellent and came in generous portions. However, we found the entrees to be just mediocre—nothing particularly memorable, especially given how great the drink and appetizer were. We ordered the jumbo shrimp and chicken scarpariello. We were four women taking a friend out for a birthday lunch. We ordered fried calamari for the table and it came with a nice addition of fried zucchini. Two of us ordered eggplant parmigana, one a tilapia entree which arrived with generous sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli, and another ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich, which was stacked high with extras and included a plate of french fries. The food was delicious. I had brought a birthday cake along and the servers arrived at dessert with candles lit, a song, and later individual servings on plates with Happy B written in raspberry sauce. Fontana di Trevi made my friend 's birthday a delightful occasion. I would go back in a heartbeat.
We haven't visited this restaurant since it moved from Leonia some time ago, but the food was freshly prepared. We ordered a salad as well as some items from the menu. The staff was very accommodating with changes and special requests for the entrees. My wife is vegan, and they prepared a lovely assortment of vegetables for her entree, which made her very happy. The service was attentive without being overwhelming, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The only downside was that the dining area on the floor was quite busy, and the noise level was fairly high. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
to a very crowded check in the opposite end came forward and was said there were no tables available I said I had a reservation and was not available tables. what is the point of a reservation if they cannot honor it? very disappointed. I will never go there again
