I hadn't visited this place in years, but as soon as I stepped inside, it all came rushing back to me. I ordered the 6-inch Wise Sub, and it was absolutely delicious. I went around noon on a weekday, and there was a line out the door, but I didn't mind since they were almost ready for dinner service, so the wait was minimal.
The atmosphere here is fantastic. It's your neighborhood sandwich shop, and they really pile on the fillings. The ingredients are fresh, and there are great side options available. It's a true classic of the area!

Somehow the best subs in Chicagoland... I've come since I was a child and the quality has never changed. Meat, cheese, bread etc. is always very fresh. Very recommended!
These sandwiches are memorable!! I lived in Hinsdale more than 10 years ago, and whenever I'm in the area from CA, I make sure to drop in for a delicious sandwich!
Fontano's subs are the gold standard by which I judge all other subs. Very few measure up to them. They are a visit to Chicago area must have.
