I used to be a huge fan of Food for Life over five years ago. It was always spotlessly clean, the staff were welcoming, and they truly embraced the natural food concept. The food quality was consistently outstanding, and I found myself visiting almost every week. Unfortunately, as time went on, the front-of-house staff changed, and the new employees seemed indifferent, unfriendly, and unprofessional. I also noticed changes in the kitchen staff and some questionable practices in food preparation that raised alarms for me. This restaurant is my top choice for takeout. I often order the fish nuggets or strips along with a side of greens. However, when I place my order through Grubhub, they frequently forget to include the extra sauces, so I need to make sure to check the bag before I leave. Other than that, the food is amazing! I really love their sun and moon sauce!
I enjoyed chicken, macaroni and cheese, and greens for lunch. However, for dinner, I wasn't as lucky—I was served some spoiled fish along with string beans and macaroni. I did my best to make the most of the situation. Thank you!
Ordered the fried fish comeback sub. Don?t. It came grilled, first of all, the sauce wasn?t where it?s at. Just? don?t. I went there cause I used to love their fries, but they completely changed those.

Whenever I crave authentic soul food that isn't overly greasy or soggy, this is the place I go to. My favorites are the East of the Mississippi dish and the spicy fish nuggets.
I love their Cajun fish strips and Mac cheese. Salmon croquette green beans are just as good. Price portions are just right.
