WOW. Eight months ago I left a fairly scathing review of this restaurant. First I vowed never to return, then I softened a bit and admitted that anyone can have a bad day. I regret that my first visit was on someone 's bad day. It unfavorably colored my opinion and caused me to miss out on some really good food. Today is a different day. If the same cook is working this morning, then he/she must have awakened to find exotic chocolates on his/her pillow, wrapped in hundred dollar bills. I highly recommend the Chesapeake Fries as an appetizer; they’re a brilliant choice. They feature a delicious stack of waffle fries topped with cheese, bacon, green onions, and either crab or lobster (I believe it was crab). The seafood is of high quality, complemented perfectly by a sauce reminiscent of Old Bay. The menu offers a wide array of sandwiches and burgers, including a section where you can build your own burger with plenty of options clearly laid out. Holy **** y'all. If you're traveling through Virginia on I81, do yourself a favor and stop at this great little cafe just off the interstate on exit 168. They put Cheez-its on their Mac Cheese and it is geniusly delicious. Cheez-its. On. Mac. . Cheese. I think I would travel just for that mac cheese. Yum! I also got their Southwestern wrap which pretty darn tasty too. They had so many tasty sounding items on their menu I had a hard time deciding on what to get. The rest of my party had chicken tenders and a burger. The burger had housemade pimento cheese and a fried green tomato on it. He said it was very tasty. The service was as slow as molasses, but our server was excellent; they just didn’t have enough help. Unfortunately, they were also out of many menu items, which was frustrating. My husband and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak burgers; he chose onion rings, while I opted for fries. We also had the best fried green tomatoes we've ever tasted. The service was outstanding, and the food was simply incredible. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I was initially prepared to give this place one star for being closed on Saturday, but then I saw their Instagram post explaining that they were on vacation for their wedding anniversary. Have a great time!
