Had sworn off this place due to very unsatisfactory meals in the past. However today was a 21st birthday celebration so made an exception to return. Food was less than ordinary. 3 steaks on our table all very tough. One sent back because it was less than rare....had ask for medium rare. Husband and I ordered a seniors meal......very small serve of fish and chips( I had 11 very small bits of chips) . Soup was meant to be chicken and corn.....no chicken just cream of corn. Nachos were in edible. Went to put grandson in high chair only to be told by a staff member to be careful as they were put together by a junior and probably weren't very safe. I would have thought they shouldn't be available...
We go to the Foreshore around once a month or so. If you don't go expecting a 5 star restaurant then you will probably be quite happy.Great for families with wide open dining area & play area. Generally staff are very friendly. Food is typical pub style, well priced, served quite quickly. Nice easy place to go on a Saturday night when you can't be bothered cooking at home.
Dined here last week with my partner and grand daughter. The meals were excellent and the service was A1. The children's menu has quite a few choices and comes with a free drink. We ordered fisherman's basket, steak and a children's cheese burger, meals were served within 20 minutes of placing the order. The waitress was very friendly. Will certainly return.
My family and I regularly eat here as we stay at the adjoining Motel, the food here is great pub food, we have never had a bad experience and we are always greeted with a warm smile and friendly hello. It's just a great family style tavern with generous servings. We will be back soon!

It was a chilly night and having the kids running in and out the window doors where we were seated made it breezy ! Other than that, great service, great food and all at a great price !!!! Will return again !
The Tavern serves good wholesome food in friendly surrounds. If you sit in the front area you have views of Ralph Bau and fabulous sunsets.
Been coming here for 15 years. The service is great. Mojitos are the best. 10 stars for this jawns. Pro tip: Order seafood (loup)
Soggy chips on a seafood platter, rubber like calamari, just boring really. Staff are nice, but can't make up for poor food
