Fort Washington Marina has certainly lost its appeal for water travelers. The gas dock is no longer open 24/7, and you can't just swipe your card for convenience. The management is also unwilling to dredge the waterways, which is a real issue. Parking isn't monitored, so you risk getting blocked in by other cars. There's debris floating around the boats, which is uninviting. To top it off, there's no restaurant available. There are many downsides here, yet the marina still seeks to attract residents. It's puzzling why they would do that under these circumstances.
Limited Options The only do it yourself yard with capacity near Washington DC which is a needed service. My experience no response to phone calls emails for over a week, the responses I did get only answered half the question, incompetent blocking of the boat, and my boat was broken into/tools and alcohol stolen. Oh did I mention the crew was 3 hours late showing up from the time they provided. I wish there was another option! Friendly locals in the yard and easy to do work there. New manager started 10/21/2022.
I absolutely love this charming little hidden gem. It's unfortunate that the National Park Service is letting this marina become an eyesore by neglecting property maintenance and the water access pathway, which raises safety concerns. Some repairs to the electric towers and waterlines are needed as well. With a bit of attention, this place could truly shine again.
If I could give it less I would since the new general manager took over. We should all be treated equally and work together. Black and Brown. Anyone who is participating in division amongst us gets a ?? from me. Do better!!!

This place is fantastic, offering a stunning view of the water with plenty of boats around. It has private access to the docks, making it a unique location to visit if you're in the area. Definitely worth checking out!
Anything near a large water body line, It's a beautiful place but it no longer has a restaurant or other attraction. So if you don't dock your boat or visit a boat not really a reason to visit.
There were tons of mallets and bowls and they were bringing in more seats and setting up pavilions. Looked like some lucky folks were about to have a smashing good time!
Quite, picturesque, shame proud mary restuarant not open any more, provided great food and romantic outdoor seating.

Three stars only because it's on a lovely scenic stretch of the Piscataway.
It was beautiful walking near the water and extremely peaceful.
