After walking the streets for a traditional British cafe....we only kept finding Italian cafes in Barry. We accidentally came across this in the high street. ....... A single door .... It's upstairs this little quaint cafe. Very friendly service. My partner wanted to go here as he read on the menu they did corned beef homemade pie and I opted for lasagne. Blond young lady who served us was very helpful. Very helpful to us several customers. Food was amazing......so impressed we'll definitely be going back.....it's decor is like Alice in Wonderland....very satisfied customers
We went to this cafe for a breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning. Nice menu with lots of different options suited all three of us who were after different things. Prices reasonable, service friendly and the food good. Lots of interesting decor and a cosy place to spend an hour. Will definitely be returning!
Three of us visited for food. I had uncooked faggots and it was cold, the others had a small breakfast and a large breakfast with extras. Large breakfast was missing items and served cold, small breakfast was also missing items, also served cold. All the toast was served on one plate. Worst meals ever.
Nice jacket potatoes and children's meals. Reasonable prices. Was being managed by a lady and grandchildren when we visited. The grandchildren were very helpful. The toilet needed to be unlocked and the youngest granddaughter went to get me the key. Nice decorations on walls too

A friendly welcome when you arrive ,nice feel to the room. A good menu of choice if you want just a tea/coffee and cake or a main meal. nicely decorated makes you feel relaxed and calm. food was great best food in the area. great on your own or with a group.
We’ve usually had nice meals at Fountains, but today’s meal was poor. A broken, hard fried egg should never have been put on the plate, and the toast was the thick end crust, not a nice piece of toast. Disappointing.
We stopped here yesterday for breakfast for the first time. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great. There was another party with young children and they worked hard to keep them amused. Well done.
Sunday dinner was awful sorry, a tiny amount of meat, 1 tiny frozen Yorkshire pudding but was meant to be 2, 3 tiny frozen roast potatoes and frozen veg, completely tasteless wouldn’t recommend!
