Four of us went for a pre-Christmas lunch, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations compared to our experience last year. It seemed like the chef was not available, as the meal lacked finesse. The carrots were not properly prepared, with stalks and dirt still attached. The cauliflower was undercooked and cold when served, and the Christmas pudding was rubbery. The service was charming and courteous, but very slow. There were very few other diners in the restaurant. Despite this experience, we plan to give it another try next year, hoping that this was just a one-time occurrence.
Came here as a party of 13 to celebrate a significant birthday. They had set aside an area for our party and the service was first class. The staff remembered the orders well and were happy to make the little changes to the dishes as requested. The portions were well sized not too full to leave you stuffed and very tasty. The staff were even happy to take family photos for us. Thank you for making it a good day
This place is amazing, have been a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are without doubt some of the best in the area, their customer service skills are amazing and they are always friendly. The food is great and reasonably priced. Keep doing what you are doing as it’s great and we always want to return
The place is beautiful and the staff are very happy in there work. But. There not to hit on with the table clearing and next course. When we and one other table were in. Such a let down the food is brilliant and hot just a shame there’s no flow

This pub was recommended by a local B B : The village setting was lovely and we booked for 7 pm . on arriving a small round table for 2 was reserved and set out .The staff inc Alan Bex we’re attentive and friendly ....
What a lovely place. Clean, cosy, the staff were so helpful and happy to help, clearly a good team there. And the food was superb and great value for money.
Well the buzz on a Friday night was Magic Landlady ,Staff and Food all tops for us Cannot wait to go to their Wednesday Jazz Nights 10/10 from us
