The atmosphere was clean, but the lighting made it difficult to see the menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but it was tough and lacking in flavor, almost like eating shoe leather. I was hoping to get some pepper, but I wasn't informed that they were out, nor did anyone ask if I wanted a substitute. On the plus side, I enjoyed the fries. However, I'm not sure if I'll return. I was really disappointed, especially since it was my daughter’s birthday and she is vegan; I had hoped for more vegan options. Unfortunately, no one seemed willing to help with that. The meal was a bit underwhelming, but at least the company was enjoyable.
The appetizer we had was good, but quite small. The truffle fries, priced at $8.25, are definitely the best value among the appetizers. However, it took 75 minutes for our food to arrive for our table of four after we placed our order. During that time, our waitress didn't come by to refill our waters or check on us, nor did she let us know that the kitchen was apparently running behind. Overall, I’d rate the food a 4, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 4.
During our drive through Wyoming, we felt compelled to stop for a steak, and we were not disappointed! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the flavor was outstanding. The restaurant's atmosphere was clean and lovely, which added to the overall experience. However, the only thing preventing me from giving it a full five stars was the service. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited 15 minutes for water and an hour for our food.
It's been over a decade since we last visited, and it's still fantastic. We loved the fried calamari, Caesar salad, mushroom risotto, and steak sandwich. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance was wonderful. Although we live a few hours away, we're more than willing to plan trips to Sheridan just to dine here. It was an incredibly enjoyable meal, and Taylor took excellent care of us. Service: Dine-in.
