We had a fantastic menu, 3 courses, wine, coffee and bread and all for around 10 Euros per person. I would guess that the smoked salmon I had for first course would have cost that amoutn at home! Food was excellent, service was excellent. Recommended by a local. Can be found at the sie of the permanent market in the centre. The restaurant in nice inside, don't be put off by the tables on the street. Would not recommend sitting outside as it is on a busy road, ok if you are only stopping for a quick drink or coffee, but if eating then get yourself inside and enjoy the atmosphere. Fantastic place walked in at 11.30pm and pleasantly surprised by the extremely pleasant and welcoming staff. Wanted just a little snack, sat on the bar, picked from the beautiful 'tapas ' menu which were more 'raciones ', great food prepared right in front of us. Many other people walked in after us for dinner portions are HUGE and the food really looked beautiful and tasty! Our food was just perfect and so tasty, wine and coffees were also great! We will definitely come back and bring friends ... especially the hungry ones ; Great value for money, would highly recommend!
No puedo opinar respecto de la comida todavía ya que hemos ido a tomar solo una caña, pero el ambiente es agradable. Terraza cómoda, el local por dentro es bonito y tiene unos ventanales grandes que dan acceso a la barra y es muy cómodo no tener que entrar al local si no te apetece. He visto la carta y tienen mucha variedad. Otro día iremos a probar algo de la carta y editaré comentando sobre ello.
This is a typical, small tapas bar located in El Vendrell. It is around the corner from the busy main square across from the central market. El Niu caters mostly to locals but an English menu is available. Limited selection of excellent tapas try them all, you won't be disappointed. Friendly fast service all in all very recommendable.

Una vez realizas la reserva te envían por whatsapp la confirmación y el menú del día (variado y bien de precio. Hay opción de carta). La comida es casera, aunque bastante sencilla. Es una buena opción para ir a comer sin muchas pretensiones. El servicio es rápido.
