"I couldn’t go past the beef tongue – it was a generously large serving, more like a VERY large tongue which was served with salsa verde, onions and pickles. The salsa verde was a wonderful complement, I loved the pickles and the beef tongue was incredibly tender it just melted in my mouth. It was seriously tasty!"

Located alongside what I’ve positioned in my head as the scary blah side of central, Freda sits off in a laneway at 107-109 Regent Street. If it weren’t for the colourful hanging lights, that would be one dire entry way. Be prepared to wait queue. Queue to get in. Wait for a table. We should start by warning you – the minute you walk into the bar proper, don’t look for a seat if its busy, grabbed a waiter and immediate tell him to let Marty know you have a group of X and want seats. We were unprepared and easily ended feeling like this place needed a proper front of house and that side of getting in was a chaotic mess. Chaotic. We were chastised for grabbing an open table by...read more

a fantastic hidden bar in chippendale, great place for some after-work drinks. but it was quite loud when we were here late Thursday night, there was a DJ game, so it was a little hard to talk. I recommend ordering their nachos 14,) delicious and just the right amount. the edamame salad was okay, not worth $10, so next time I would give a failure. I also like how the cook at freda’s also serves the dinner table, that was nice! I will try her cocktails again soon!

I confess to being a little disappointed that the pork to bread ratio wasn’t as luxurious as that of the photos posted on their Facebook page but it still tasted amazing with my friend pining for the sandwich hours later. I’m definitely keen to come back one evening to try a few cocktails while nibbling on some beautiful Iberian bar food.

had that what it says on the dose a little hidden, but I wouldn't call it a voice hour in the sense of new york. good selection of beer and interesting cocktail selection. the menu was limited, but the pulled pork nachos were good for nachos. Overall I went to eat and drink on the look for something more interesting
