Since the changeover of the menu and the redesign of the courtyard, my visit to Frei in Gengenbach has been much better than a few years ago. The idea with the small tapas is very good: small portions, it is no longer thrown away much, because hardly anything remains and the quality is also very good. Service staff is also good: The waiter was very attentive and to have for small spits. And the live music that takes place every week is something you should experience. Great ambience, good wines at fair prices, tapas in a wide selection and different tastes to it an Irish musician who additionally sweetened us the evening. We are more often at, "FREI," and always feel very comfortable. It is a great restaurant with delicious food, good service, a nice boss and on some days good live music is offered.
I was very surprised to see the ambience. Very friendly staff. The dishes offered (Tapas) tasted me. Prices are okay. There was live music. I was completely satisfied.
