I visited the Frisky Bear with friends when on holiday to N Ireland from Canada. Recommended by a local Holywood resident and after reading the reviews, I had some high hopes. I was not disappointed; we stayed for hours. Good pints, great people, even better nuts. I’m allergic to nuts myself, but I was told they were world-class. Will be visiting Belfast again soon and will certainly be taking the train in to Holywood for a few drinks at the ‘Bear when I’m in town. This bar is a must-see!
I visited this wonderful restaurant today without a reservation and was greeted by the friendliest staff I have encountered in years. The peanuts were the best I've ever had, the beer garden was beautiful, and the regular customers were so welcoming. You must make a stop at this pub - I will definitely be returning.
We went to watch the rugby in the bar and no one was in the bar. The tvs weren't working only the one in the pool room were there was about 5 people playing pool. Hopefully it's just teething problems
This City bar is fantastic. The nuts are fresh, they have the best selection of Tayto crisps in the area, and the bar staff are friendly and engaging. I will definitely be returning. Book a table now
