In life we remember the soaring highs we experience and indeed the crashing lows, everything in-between is simply forgotten as we meander through our lives. I would love to have forgotten the 'burger ' I was served at this 'restaurant ' sadly it is now permanently filed in my memory as the single worst thing I have ever had the misfortune to bite into in 50 long years of dining memories. I became concerned when the patty was dropped into the chip oil and the owner became distracted by talking at us without interruption, eventually I guess, the correct amount of time had now passed for the burger to be submerged in used chip oil and retrieved. This was then delicately placed on the burger bun...
Quaint place to get decent chips and something to go with them, the owner is a character and the place is small and seems to be used for takeaway by some locals, there is seating of a basic nature, but to think of this place as a restaurant would be akin to regarding the large chicken or burger chains as fine dining establishments. It is a fairly simple chip shop with fabulous fries, decent other bits, substantial quantities, and a very reasonable price. Simple decent cheap people fuel.
I either expected 'Vlaamsche frieten or the French frites which always seem to need an extra minute. We were presented with regular ' industry ' fries. That was a disappointment. Burger was good, croquettes also. Staff a bit uninterested but that could also be the heat on that day.
the best Belgian fries we were able to test in ardèche, a real Belgian fries until the presentation of meats in showcase as in belgium. the word cht'i small dish, you have to leave when it is the boss who serves because he is more generous in quantity. Book a table now
we are not from the region but the fries are excellent it has been 4 years since each summer the fry portions are very generous and unlike what people say the boss and very friendly as well as his employees I recommmande!!!
Voilà un petit endroit très sympa ou le personnel et le gérant sont très accueillant. Les frites sont très bonne et les plats ont le goût du Nord. C est pas cher et ideal pour manger sur le pouce
