Fuggerei Restaurant

The Fuggerei in Schwäbisch Gmünd is located in the immediate vicinity of Münsterplatz, where the weekly market offers its products from the region every Wednesday and Saturday until 13:00. The inn is one of the top restaurants in Schwäbisch Gmünd and is run by the Wiedmann family. The ambience is very rustic with modern accents in the vault cellar of the old court prison. There are 12-16 tables where 4 people can find room. The number of dishes is very clear from the fillet soup with fresh cut liquor for 6€ to the main dish Kalbs cream roast with Landbrot dumplings for 20€. I came here with my family. We reserved a table two days in advance and I mentioned that I want to order from the vegan menu. They recommend doing that on their website. The lady on the phone was really nice and asked me to order in advance, so they have time to prepare everything. I had the mushroom ravioli as a starter plate, the white wine risotto as a main dish and a chocolate cake with pineapple ragout and pina colada ice cream as a dessert.
