Terrific food, and impeccable service. Very nice decor and nice design. You can enter from parking lot or from inside the mall. You can sit at hibachi table and they make food right in front of you or you can sit at regular table or at the bar and order like any other restaurant. I had the chicken teriyaki (around $22) and it was fabulous, served with a delicious yum yum sauce. Have ton of sushi if that's your thing (not mine). The only thing I didn't like was the music playing. I am not fond of new rap music playing while I eat. Traditional Japanese music would be perfect for ambience. Other than the music, everything was great. Will definitely being going back to this restaurant.
Fuji is my favorite restaurant! It is my go-to spot for hibachi in the Hudson Valley. I have been coming here for years to celebrate birthdays and for casual dining. The restaurant is very family-friendly and the chefs consistently deliver fresh and delicious meals. While the wait times can be longer on busy days, the experience is always worth it. If you're really hungry, I recommend sitting at a regular dining table or at the sushi bar to avoid a lengthy wait. Overall, I think the restaurant could use some updates as it can get quite busy and some small details might be overlooked. And let's not forget about the yum yum sauce, it's the best I've ever had!
Let me be clear, the food was good but our chef put sauce on everything!! Steak, shrimp, scallops, the vegetables. I've never had my steak or shrimp cooked in any kind of sauce before I would've preferred it without. I also remember being given a small dish of yum yum sauce a small dish of another sauce. This time we were only given the yum yum sauce. The portions have also gotten smaller. It's still a decent amount of food, but definitely not the portions they used to serve. All in all it was a nice evening I'm just not sure I'll be going there again.
We arrived at 2:00 PM and waited for 15 minutes before requesting a table. When the hostess finally came over, the table was dirty. We finally sat down, but when we tried to order our lunch, we were informed that we couldn’t place an order after 2:30 PM. Seriously? What a scam! So we would have to wait to order until after 2:30 and then pay double the price! The experience wasn’t enjoyable at all. I won’t be returning.

Salad that came with my Sushi deluxe meal was just white lettuce drowning in some type of creamy dressing. It was the worst salad I ever was served in a restaurant. The pieces of sushi were a Iot smaller than Sushi I have gotten in other restaurants. This comes from experience as I have been eating sushi for over 30 years
The restaurant closed a table just for our family! At the request of my children, who usually do not get to see their hibachi meals prepared gluten-free in front of them, the chef was accommodating and made it a special experience.
