I usually don't pay much attention to written reviews of places that I visit, as I prefer to stay positive. However, I have to admit that Foxton Curls really disappointed me. The coffee was not good, made from a push-button machine while most other places use espresso machines. For £2.50 for an americano, I expect better quality. They also couldn't provide hot milk for the coffee, which I found surprising in this day and age. The service could be improved by placing menus on every table to save time, having staff carry tablets to quickly clean tables, and providing training for employees to ensure they know what to do. Overall, the staff at Foxton Curls are friendly and willing, but a little...

Both of the employees at the restaurant seemed uninterested in taking our order, so we decided to leave after waiting for 10 minutes. The tea room was only a third full, so there was plenty of chance for them to serve us, but instead they were leisurely clearing tables and making drinks at a leisurely pace. They didn't seem to mind that we left, and I believe they were actually relieved to have one less table to attend to.

I have visited this restaurant a few times with my mother, wife, and young daughter. The menu is very limited, so we opted for paninis, which were okay but not worth the price. The layout is cramped and the atmosphere was busy and uncomfortable. The presentation of the tea as gourmet was misleading, as it was just a standard tea bag. Overall, our experience was disappointing and we will not be returning.
