The food at Gaijin Ramen Shop was incredible. We had a fantastic ramen experience with three appetizers - kimchi, wings, and pork and chicken buns - all of which were delicious. The kimchi was fresh, the wings were crispy and flavorful like Korean fried chicken, and the buns were simple but amazing, with complementary sauces. My favorite was the chicken bun for its crunchy texture. The spicy tonkotsu and spicy double miso ramen we ordered both received high praise for their bold flavors and perfect spice levels. My wife and I stopped in while we were down from Baltimore. The place was super busy but everyone was super friendly and attentive. I got the Spicy Miso with pulled chicken instead of pork and my wife got the Chicken Broth Ramen with Fried chicken and both were excellent! We also tried their Shrimp Pops appetizer, and it didn't disappoint either. Having spent nearly 5 years in the San Jose/San Francisco area, we both have had a lot of different ramen types and I have to say that Gaijin ranks with the best we've had. I visited a small ramen restaurant that had a vibrant interior with colorful paintings and decorations. The service was excellent, as the staff were very helpful in accommodating any dietary preferences. The menu clearly indicated vegan and vegetarian options for ramen only. The ramen itself was tasty, although my noodles were slightly undercooked and had a tough texture. I also ordered a bubble tea without any bubbles, which tasted a bit artificial towards the end, possibly due to flavoring syrups. Overall, the experience was pleasant but there were some minor issues with the food.
This is locally owned and operated business that serves excellent ramen in a variety of configurations I like the spicey veggie ramen with extra hot sauce, bok choi, spinach, sprouts, and avocado . Also, lots of interesting non-ramen dishes e.g., tater tots with bulgoggi . Excellent, reasonably priced drinks $7 for a martini! , and a super-friendly staff. We go at least once a month for lunch on Saturday or Sunday, and the staff treats us like royalty. Right across from Cherrydale Hardware on Lee Highway.

I have never tasted such a hearty and delicious broth anywhere else! Their tonkotsu is to die for, even better if you add pork belly! Yum! This is our go-to place for when we are cold, sick, tired, feeling blue, or just wanting a tasty delicious meal that will hit the spot every time!
We love this place!! Top notch ramen shop in Northern VA. We had spicy tonkatsu and veggie ramen and Oiishi tofu and fried chicken bun all was good. We ended up ordering some take outs for dinner the following day. Highly recommended
