This is a charming, locally-owned bakery and quaint restaurant that offers friendly service. The pastries looked absolutely delectable, but I decided to try the Texas Style French Toast as a short stack, which turned out to be a generous portion for one person, along with a scrambled egg (I only ordered one, but it was the size of two). Wonderful breakfast food, great coffee, and you 'll never find it on Rt. 9. The tip-off is the sign on the right hand side of the northbound lane that reads Bakery and Eatery , which has led to my having real problems memorizing their name. Pro tip: the strategy is to eat one of their bountiful breakfasts, and only upon the conclusion should you move to the bakery counter to make your purchases. This is undoubtedly one of the best cakes I have ever tasted—definitely the best you can purchase! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The decorations are stunning, and the frosting is made with real buttercream, not the greasy variety that clings to the roof of your mouth and is overly sweet. I can't understand why anyone would choose a bakery item from a supermarket. If you're looking for a cake that tastes fantastic and looks beautiful, you should go to a professional bakery. It's well worth spending a little extra when shopping for someone you love or even just like!

This was a great spot for breakfast this morning. We had the coffee, fresh fried eggs, home fries, fresh baked toast, and French apple cinnamon toast. Everything was spectacular. The food was so fresh and tasted great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I believe the waitress said she worked there for 34 years. She was great. The pastries looked so delicious in the display case. We took home a half dozen donuts. Anyway, if your in the area give this spot a try for breakfast or desert. I'm sure you won't be disappointed and I bet the lunch is just as good. Enjoy
Jeremy and Staff, I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for Luke's Celebration of Life. You went above and beyond for our family and me. I don't know if he ever told you, but Gamble's has always been our go to place for weddings, showers, Christmas, graduations or just to stop by for some cookies. I recently visited for breakfast, and I have to say, this has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot in the area. While Silo is nice, it's constantly packed. I had an omelette paired with perfectly seasoned red-skinned potatoes, and the seeded rye bread, which is baked on-site, was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for a great breakfast and delicious pastries, you should definitely check this place out! I'll be returning for sure!
The staff at this restaurant seem unhappy, and some of them come off as rude. They don't accept credit cards, which might be an attempt to avoid paying taxes. The baked goods are inconsistent—mostly disappointing, in fact. I've given them three chances, but that's enough for me. I really wanted to like this place since it's so conveniently located near my home.

I have ordered cakes for large gatherings multiple times from Gambles Bakery, including cakes for birthdays, an anniversary celebration, and two life celebrations. Each time, Gambles has exceeded my expectations with their stunning cake designs! The cake and frosting are absolutely delicious! Thank you, Gambles!
This bakery is amazing! There Italian wedding cookies are the best I've ever had! They taste just like my grandmother's who is from Italy. They have an assortment of baked goods. Right now they are only open Fri and Sat 7am to 12pm. They also make birthday cakes.
