Gandhi Indian Takeaway

Moved 6 months ago, but haven 't eaten here yet. I just wanted to say your sign seems to have few lightbulbs out. Been like that for months. Minor detail, but it 's something that is there to attract customers, and to me it 's giving a lack of attention to detail tired and falling apart first impression.. which might not be true representation and hence isn 't fair on the restaurant. Other reviews here seem to be very complimentary to your food so well done! As silly as it is external appearance does matter. I 'll remove this feedback later on. All the best!

After yrs of being disappointed with multiple Indian takeaways in the Fareham, Stubbington and Lee-on-Solent area we were so pleased to finally find a gem. We have been ordering from Gandhi for about 5 months now and enjoy their great tasting curries. My only piece of advice is to check your bag of food upon collection (something we will be doing in future) because they often miss items from the order. We have had a missing naan on 2 occasions and missing sauces.

The meal was tasty but we ordered coconut rice, peshwari nan and a coconut dish, non of which tasted very much of coconut, which really spoilt it. Also the dish with lamb and prawn had hadrly any meat and only one prawn. Shame as this was a first time for us trying somewhere new.

We have visited Abu regularly for the past 20 years. His food, service and atmosphere are the best for miles around. We now live an hours drive away but when we fancy a curry Abus' is aways worth the journey.
