The place has changed somewhat, in that they now serve a variety of stuffed burgers. I went with what I had last time (Lamb Shawarma) to see how it measures up against the old incarnation. OK, not too dry, and they asked how spicy I'd like it. Good on them. Note that this is about a $14 item by the time you add the tax and a little tip (counter service.) Filling, and fresh ingredients. I noticed that the traditional Shawarma vertical rotisserie wasn't in use, and was informed that they pan fry the meat instead. I get that, especially if you aren't selling hundreds of these things daily, but can you still call it Shawarma? However, it was fine. Good sauce too.The one issue that I had with the...

We love lamb shawarma, and were impressed by the ecstatic reviews, so we stopped in one afternoon (about an hour before closing) to get take-out for dinner. Ordered two lamb shawarma wraps and the hummus and falafel. The delicious aromas had our mouths watering all the way home. What a disappointment to sit down to eat and find the so-called shawarma consisted of hard, dry chunks of meat about the consistency shoe leather. The falafal was likewise over-cooked to the point of inedibility. The one and only redeeming feature of this meal was the hummus, which was inexplicably fresh, warm and delicious. What gives? We obviously got the dregs of the day's meat. Were we given the burnt stuff that o...

Loved this little restaurant. We ordered one chicken taco and one lamb taco. They were very good but we felt it could be kicked up a notch in spice. That is just personal taste. It is a busy restaurant with locals returning dropping their money at the counter picking up their usual favourites without say much of a word. The chef just knows what they want. This restaurant was very clean, with the owner taking a lot of pride in what he does. When coming to Salt Spring don't miss this restaurant.Service is excellent, food is good.

Steve is engaging, fun, and an excellent chef. Truly enjoyed his falafel, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and creative accompaniments. Simply delicious. Also was there for the first movie night showing the 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead. Great place, great vibe, great street food. Book a table now

I've had my fair share of poutine and this was by far the WORST. The fries were seasoned well but way over cooked. The gravy was horrible. It was so bad that after 3 bites the whole container was thrown in the garbage. It was a waste of time to wait for it and a waste of $8. Won't ever go back.

Four adults had lunch here and all enjoyed our meals. The french fries are home made and absolutely top notch, easily the equal of the best I've had anywhere. Quite happy with the value versus the price too.

Fantastic burger. Best I have h ad in years. I came back 3 days in a row. Chef Steve is charming, funny and knows what he is doing. His flavor profiles are right on.

New owner (Steve) and great food, never disappoints. I am a local and now this is one of my favourite places in town for cheap eats.
