This is, without a doubt, the best New York-style deli I've found in New Jersey after living here for 20 years since moving from Staten Island. I visited yesterday and had the fresh mozzarella Italian hero, and today I tried their famous homemade roast beef sandwich, which comes with homemade mozzarella, caramelized onions, and gravy on a toasted hero. This roast beef sandwich is so popular that it sells out within a few hours every Tuesday, so I highly recommend calling ahead to place your order! I enjoyed the sandwich so much that I completely forgot to snap a photo, LOL. Everyone should definitely check this place out!
While taking a break from teaching at the fire academy, I was looking for a good meal and stumbled upon this place just six minutes away. I decided to call in my order, and I must say, it turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. As someone who often frequents great delis, that’s a significant compliment! I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich with peppers, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. The cutlet was still warm, and the bread had a perfect texture—not too soft and not too hard. The service was friendly, and the prices were fantastic. I will definitely be coming back!
I typically don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I had never placed a catering order from this restaurant before, as we've always used a different one. However, from the moment I called, the girl who answered the phone was wonderful and incredibly professional. We only gave them a few days' notice, but they were so accommodating and made it work for us. The food was fantastic, and the owner was excellent as well. From now on, I will be choosing them for all my catering needs. Thank you sincerely!
