We had a reservation and were seated within a few minutes of arriving. However, by pm we had only received drinks appetizers, despite repeated reminders to our waitress. She told us the kitchen was backed up, yet we saw almost every other table around us receive their food. Our appetizers didn’t even arrive until pm, a full hour after we were seated! We finally told our waitress to cancel the entrees and left hungry. The staff did nothing to rectify the situation either, they didn’t comp the appetizers or drinks or anything! We asked another table nearby if they experienced the same service, and they told us their food was delayed but their oysters, drinks, and dessert were comped to make up...
Food was really good as was the service. I would recommend the Gaslamp Fish House. The location is just a touch sketchy for me.I grew up in San Diego in the Broadway and Horton Plaza was always a area to avoid after dark. It was much better now. There were groups of people walking in the area. Don’t let my slight unease, which I’m going to chalk up to an old prejudice about the area, keep you from the restaurant. Just be on heightened awareness
I recently had weight loss surgery and needed a soup that was in my guidelines and I had the Lobster Bisque it was delicious! My mom got the calamari and the Caesar salad, said it was delicious too, although the sauce for the calamari was a little sweet. Overall it was a great experience
The restaurant served food containing allergens, with a delay of over 30 minutes between courses. They only brought out one of the two desserts ordered. Additionally, half of the entree was cold and it was evident that it had been cooked earlier than the other half.

I ordered the surf and turf, but unfortunately, the steak was very tough and the lobster was overcooked and tough as well. The shrimp cocktail was served with shrimp that were still slightly frozen. Overall, I was disappointed with the meal.
We had the Scallops with mashed potatoes mushrooms, also the Seafood Pasta. Both were absolutely amazing. The service was fast and our server was on top of everything. We will definitely be making this a regular dine in spot
I ordered Alaskan King Crab legs and it was not fresh. Crabs was cut in half and the color was brownish.My husband ordered lobster bisque soup and it was cold. Very disappointed of the quality of food
The service was excellent. The server was extremely friendly and informed us about all the specials.
