Seven of us ate in the Jazz Room at the Gaslight Grill. A four piece Jazz Band played discreetly in the background, not interfering with conversation, yet providing a classy ambience. Eddie Djilali, the Executive Chef, trained with Gordan Ramsay for 12 years, and you can tell. The menu is small using fresh local ingredients all made from scratch. For Starters we tried the Caesar Salad, Turnip Soup and House Salad. The Turnip Soup was light and fresh tasting, not overly salty. We tried a Smoked Salmon imported from Scotland in especially refrigerated containers maintained at 33 degrees. The Salmon melted away in our mouths like custard. We recently celebrated our 40. Wedding day in Gaslight Grill. We've never been there, but definitely back! The hostess bestowed Konfetti hearts on our table for the occasion and waiters who went from all, wished us a happy anniversary. Our waiter, Damien, was fantastic, very human, knowledgeable and attentive with walking overboard. Wines were excellent and my Filet Mignon was one of the best I ever had. It came with garlic potatoes and asparagus. On Damien's recommendation, my husband ordered the Chilean Seebarsch and exceeded his expectations. Our first time here for our 14. Wedding day was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the beef Wellington and it was amazing. Very recommended.
Here from Homer, Alaska and spent a very pleasant dinner with family and friends. Sa in jazz room and had the best steak dinner and the best lemon drops martinis. We'll be back here.
