Ein grandioses Angebot im Rahmen des Menükarussell. Nach dem Gruß aus der Küche wurde uns als 1. Gang Wachtel serviert mit Beilagen, der 2. Gang war ein Zanderfilet. Als 3. Gang gab es rosa gebratenen Tafelspitz. Alles natürlich begleitet von exzellenten Beilagen ( u.a. warmer Kürbis-Steckrübensalat und Rotkohl mit kandierten Mandeln u. v. m.) und fantastisch gewürzt. Der Nachtisch fügte sich geschmacklich harmonisch in diese Reihe ein, es gab ein Apfel-Nuss-Crumble mit Stickereien und Nougatcreme. Sämtliche begleitenden Getränke waren in diesem Angebot eingeschlossen, wir entschieden uns für einen grünen Veltliner und später für einen Zweigelt.Dass man sich bei Stromberg gut aufgehoben fühl...
Gasthaus Stromberg is situated in the center of Waltrop. The restaurant is (recently) renovated and has a beautiful look and feel. Think of an old building, renovated into a modern decor, completed with black-and-white photo's on the wall. The restaurants is rewarded by Michelin with...a BIB Gourmand: good food at a reasonable price. The menu is very appealing and represents the restaurants philosophy: just good cooking'. Decent stews, filled of beef and the best Wiener Schnitzel I ever had 'very big, very thin' as it is mentioned at the menu). A must go and worth the trip. Be sure to make reservations if you have to come from far.
Perfekt!!! Wir waren mit 4 äußerst kritischen Personen zum Menükarussel und alle waren begeistert!! Es gab an keinem Gang etwas auszusetzen, die Bedienung war höflich und zuvorkommend. Es wurden die Getränke automatisch nachgeschenkt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut dekoriert und nicht überladen.
Not a lot more to say….my favorite restaurant when we are in Waltrop. We are in the hospitality business ourselves, so we can appreciate real quality and dedication when we see it. Elegant setting with light and inspiring dishes….beats the standard stodgy food that most...serve!!
