Gasthaus Thaller - Table reservation

st. veit am vogau is not exactly a tourist destination (although the baroque church is worth a visit), but it is close enough to the beautiful south-eastern weinland. should they be in the opposite, however, they should definitely visit gasthof...thaller and enjoy a wonderful meal. eating is excellent, but the service can be somewhat overwhelmed and quite slow. weather permitting sitting outside, there is a beautiful very large garden. reservations are required at the weekend.

Thaller (zur traube) is one of the nicest restaurants you will find in the south of Styria (Südsteiermark). The dishes are made with regional products and all prepared fresh. Professional service and an excellent wine list make this place a must go in the region....High class food with an excellent price/quality range. Be sure to book a table in advance, especially over the weekend since they are often fully booked.

the restaurant is quite small and has only a few tables, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. the menu is concentrated on authentic and local cuisine, the wine selection is very good. eating is so far really excellent the best Austrian restaurant. in the region I have ever visited. highly recommended!

if they are looking for a place where everything fits to eat, drink (naturwein! and big people go there!
