We didn't want to go to this restaurant because there was no English menu, or someone else spoke English. But when the restaurant we chose was closed, we did a chance and well. Owners despite language barrier was very attentive and ready to help.... Fortunately menu favorites were written on a large pictures (mirror) hanging on the walls, so we worked out what to order. Food was really good quality and interesting in combination and preparation. We had 3 different meals (also carving naturally) and all were good the money and the time we spent there. Good beer, too. By the way. Ettenheim is a hidden gem. Nice little town.
eating in lions is so bad that you make a wide bow around this restaurant better. not even the mixed salate is recommended. nothing tastes and fresh food seems to be nothing. in the kitchen dominate microwave and convectomat.The carpaccio had already changed to the color gray and a mushy resistance - that alone would be a case for the trade inspectorate. everything that comes from this kitchen is worse than you would suspect at the worst autobahnraststätte. dry meat, spiced sauces and inlays from the freezer. the prices are extremely high. a more reason to avoid this restaurant.

Wonderful, fresh, good bourgeois cuisine in a rustic half-timbered house of the baroque Ettenheim old town. Very friendly service and many current daily meals with a clear menu that speaks for freshness and quality. At any time, from the calfs Cordon bleu to the calfsrückensteak to the lambslachsen, everything is first-class!
We have tasted it well.The chef is super friendly.The kitchen is homemade with fresh products. we went back 3 days in a row and no complaining. that's delicious!
