We were again Easter 2014 and I must review my good review of 2013: We had reserved ourselves and were the first guests 8 people tonight. We waited an hour for our food!! During this time, other guests came who were all served before us. The numerous drinks we ordered due to the long waiting period were in any case the beer standing around after the pen long before it found the way to our table and yet the glass was not completely filled until the marking ... At some point we were in line. Three of the eight plates were dirty, the scavengers were cut round before the scavenging. We only receive one on request! Schnitzel Lemon for a total of four Scavengers... We had to wait too long for ketc...
Stopped by here for lunch, Nürnberger style brats were good, sauerkraut was great, more mild than typical, and beer was the same as anywhere else...good. The out door sitting area is large and they advertised live music on certain nights. Decided to go back for...dinner the next night, but weather had closed the outside area. They have several reasonably priced dinner specials. Ordered Jäger Schnitzel with RahmSauce, Bär Kartoffeln (home fries) and Green beans along with a salad. All were very good. The only down side is only have two people waiting tables. They are friendly and very efficient, but as the Gast Haus filled up service slowed. By all the tables were full
Worst feeling ever... I m usually calm, this time I almost lost my mind. I was on the edge to become physically agressive hour min we wait on the food, and after one hour waitress comes to say they don't have what...I ve order anymore. After one hour min, it s intolerable. Then I took something else and the food was barely correct, nothing special. Not enough meat, not enough food.. I ve never been that much frustrated. I m never gonna go back there. It one of the worst time I had in a restaurant in my life,and I m years old. Sorry to say..
during our holiday we ate here more than any other place. The food was excellent (we seem to have worked our way through the menu) The beer flowed easily (Berchestgarden Hofbrauhaus) But MEIN GOTT!!! The Kaisershmarrn. The Kaisershmarrn was a delight. It would get five...stars for that alone. BUT... Go there when D'Funtenseers local dance group) are on -we had the best time we have ever had on holiday. It was a hoot! fantastic! the beer helped but everyone had a ball Book a table now
After time spent at The Eagle’s Nest, we drive down the mountain to King’s Lake for lunch. I ordered the fish without the head (fish directly from the lake). My son had sausages of course! View of the lake was peaceful and relaxing. Short hike...up the mountain took us to a superb lookout point of the lake
We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed the great beer and good to the accompaniment of a wedding band playing in the main room of the restaurant. Schweinshaxe was enormous and delicious as was the Pfifferlinge soup
Walking my way from Berchtesgaden train station to the Explorer Hotel in Schönau, I've had a rain caused break at the Unterstoa. The beer and the food was really good quality and the staff young, pretty and friendly ;
