Gasthof Engel - Table reservation

I first noticed at Hotel Engel that neither the restaurant nor the hotel room is as large as in the pictures. Most likely a wide-angle lens was used here, where even the mini room still looks huge. I feel very annoying because I'm totally exaggerated. Why do you imagine a room size that doesn't exist? The same with the very small restaurant. For us this was all a mogel pack, the much too small hotel rooms and the mini restaurant. The rooms are simple and practical, you cannot turn around. The safest is to view the room before booking. Breakfast was very simple, the dinner for the size of the portions was much too expensive.

Seit Dezember 2016 steht der Engel in Müllheim unter neuer Leitung. An der Qualität der Speisen hat sich (glücklicherweise) nix geändert.Viele Badische Gerichte aber auch Wild stehen immer noch auf der Speisekarte - und die Zubereitung unserer Gerichte (vom Lachs über Wiener Schnitzel bis zu den Wild-Bratwürsten) war ausgezeichnet. Wenn es etwas zu bemängeln gäbe, dann wäre es die Inneneinrichtung - speziell hier die Stühle, die für meinen Geschmack nicht für längeres Verweilen geeignet sind

As a group there is the 3rd time. We love the onion rust roasts, is simply top, roasted liver and also wild dishes. The wine selection is appealing. The host is always set up to a joke and occasionally plays on his Hammond organ.

Gasthof Engel fitted a large group of us in at short notice and staff were brilliant, they responded really well to our sense of humour. Food is traditional German, hearty and tasty.

Very good food. Delicious wild specialities. Very friendly staff. Cosy dining room, very beautiful beer garden. This house is highly recommended.
