Gasthof Goldene Sonne Restaurant is sensational in way of its fabulous food, friendly service and, cheerful atmosphere. This restaurant is one of many in the historic town of Coburg, Bavaria, where Queen Victoria´s husband Albert was born. As a matter of interest, there´s a statue of Albert in Coburg´s main market square. (I might have mentioned this in a previous review about my experiences in Coburg and surrounding areas). Der Gasthof Goldene Sonne (The Golden Sun Inn) is situated in Coburg, Oberfranken in Bavaria. It’s a fairly small establishment but, when you sit in its friendly, warm and comfortable atmosphere, the size of this inn is totally irrelevant. The food menu has numerous amounts of great-tasting dishes; I´ve tried three so far and have never been disappointed. The service staff is fantastic, in way of quick, warm, friendly and observant waiting. The food potions are quite generous; always piping hot and simply delicious to the taste buds of your tongue. Fresh food that is beyond delicious. Incredibly large servings for a low price. We will certainly go back! Reservations preferred, however, they were so kind to allow us to come in and enjoy a nice dinner. Servers are very nice, too. The specials on weekends are fantastic, too. Highly recommend this restaurant!
