We stayed in Melk for several days and had dinner with friends in this unique home and restaurant. The food and service were very good. The young man taking the orders was very attentive. The food was local, fresh and very tasty. The chef was...quite creative with the specials and offerings. We were pleased that the locals also frequented the restaurant and appeared to really be enjoying themselves as well. Don't let one poor review spoil the opportunity to try this food. You'll be glad you did try it.
We found this restaurant last night of our trip. What a shame. A small, traditional Austrian restaurant. Intimate and comfortable in the front part of the restaurant. A friendly welcome and excellent service. The real star was the food. On this trip we have... in Salzburg and Judenburg. The food in this restaurant hit the lot. A dish of smoked ham, salad and goulash, lined with apple strudel and coffee. It was great. When we get back to Melk, we'll certainly eat here.

The atmosphere is warm and cheesy collector pieces decorate the window strips and shelves; a magnificent collection of filled toy bears from...all around the world watch you while you eat. The food is locally produced and delicious. Wonderful salad and homemade breads. Closed Sun Mon.

Atmosphere is warm and kitschy-- collectibles decorate the window ledges and shelves; a delightful collection of stuffed toy bears from all around the world watch you while you eat. The food is locally sourced and delicious. Wonderful salad and homemade breads. Closed Sun-Mon.

Grundsätzlich nettes Studio mit alles was man braucht. War großteils sauber (Spiegelschrank im Bad sollte man innen reinigen) und die Aschenbecher war nicht geleert. Sind aber Kleinlichkeiten und nicht so schlimm. Bett war bequem decke ein bisschen dünn für Herbst/winter. Zentral und gut erreichbar. Check in funktioniert alles super.
We were staying at the hotel, and decided to have dinner there. We had a great meal, one of the best we had in Austria. My wife had grilled trout which was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, I had beef roulades which were really tasty. Both dishes came with fresh pasta and savory sauces.
Parkplatz finden ist wirklich kein Problem, hier gibt es genügend Auswahl. Sauberkeit und Einrichtung ist 100% wie beschrieben, nichts zu bemängeln meinerseits. Tolle Lage in der Mitte des schönen Städtchens Melk. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.
Sauberes geräumiges Appartment in bester Lage Check in bzw. Check out ohne Rezeption ungewohnt und ein bisschen unpersönlich aber auch praktisch der Aufenthalt in Melk war sehr schön

Schöne Zimmer und hervorragende Lage. Altstadt vor der Haustür. Ein herliches Gebäude mit Charme. Sind das zweite mal im Goldenen Stern und kommen garantiert wieder.
