We found this Gasthof when walking up tp Assmannshausen Seilbahb station. We returned twice for our evening meal, the food is excellent, good value and with great hospitality. We had fried pork the first night and snitzel and Flammen kuchen on the 2nd night. Portions were huge,more than we could eat. On both occasions our meals were about €50 for the both of us including beer Gasthof Schuster is behind the riverfront hotels just over the railway crossing you can park in the old bahnhof carpark. I can totally recommend this establishment.
We ate there a couple of times during a stay in Assmanshaussen. The menu is typical German with plenty of pork and schnitzel to choose from. The food was fine, the beer and wine too. There are a couple of vegetarian options which were well received by the veges in the group.
We cheked in to a friendly family hotel. We were shown to an annex which smelled a bit of cat pee. It was cozy so we stayed. Someone drove a bike into my car over night so I wasn't so happy when I got up but i guess this could have happened anywhere... Nice breakfast.

We always liked Gasthof-Schuster to stay and for a meal. Though this time the restaurant was too full and it it looked like a bus group.

Cooking of a high standard. Service very good. Architecture pleasantly trad German as is the cuisine. Tables in divided groups.
