We came for lunch and ordered beside other things also 3x kaiserschmarn with appfelmuss. Waiter bring only one and clearly put it in front of one person. He started to eat. Other two sat on the other side of the table. After we complained, waiter told us that these is for all three persons. We complained again. The cook boy came and he was very loud and rude explaining us the same thing again. Additionally he told us that we need to think in advance that these was for 3 persons. That testoran was our top choice in Mauterndorf before and we was visiting it frequently because they had good food and great service. I think that they changed badly and they have too many guests. We got a small menu with around 6 dishes, all written in German. 5 minutes after us, an Austrian table comes in and we notice they were given a different menu with plenty of pages!!!! We asked to have a look at their menu and the waiter did not want to do it... So we can be sure they give better prices to Austrians and also a bigger variety of dishes to choose from. Not many times i left a restaurant hungry, but today unfortunately i did. I have never seen such a small portion before....not to mention overpriced and not tasty. You can make a better dinner with a supermarket bread.
It was really great experience. On the way home from Obertauern unscheduled stopped in Mauterndorf and exactly in front of this restaurant. Very kind waitress served us with full care despite we have language problem. And result was perfect, listening our special requirements she served us with lot of patience and kind and warm hospitality. Thanks on all! Hope once we'll return back.
This is a restaurant we wanted to like. The atmosphere was charming, the people friendly and welcoming. Sadly, the food didn't match. We were disappointed with the quality of the meal. Just ordinary. Perhaps it was poor choice on our part. The restaurant promised much but just didn't deliver.
