We saw the food on the tables outside as we passed by and decided to stop there. When we ordered we were told that it would take a little longer because it was very busy at the moment and they were also short of staff. No problem, there was a French market in town and it was packed everywhere. The “a little longer” turned into an hour and we were really hungry by now. We thought if it wasn't possible, then we should either close the kitchen or make fewer tables available. But hey, we could have left at any time. So we waited a little longer. rustic well-bourgeois restaurant with small menu that is built regionally, typical and very efficient. we were kindly received and very quickly served. the food was delicious. ambiente urig with omadecks on the old tables. chairs, furnishings and benches all in style of the years. total small dining rooms. a special plus: our white Swiss sheepdog was welcome. it was even offered to bring him a water. Somehow one felt very family-resolved. all the guests present have spoken to each other.
Nur fast sehr gut: Der tolle Besentoast, die super Innenstadtlage mit kleinem aber feinem Aussenbereich und die sehr freundliche Bedienung verdienen ein dickes Lob. Aber Essen von der sehr kompakten Karte teilweise nicht wirklich super: Kartoffelsalat etwas läpprig, Maultaschengröstl etwas beliebig. Jammern auf hohem Niveau, wohlgemerkt. Really nice small typical restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff really nice. Too bad they don't speak English and don't have an English menu. And because we didn't have Internet inside, we could not translate the menu. Bring money because they don't accept card payments Book a table now

Very cosy and welcoming restaurant. We went for a leisure walk around the city and spontaneously decided to have dinner there. The staff was very welcoming. The food is really homely and the flammkuchen is really the best. Very reasonably priced and really nice decor.
