I stumbled across this gem on a very cold February evening. The staff were prompt to greet me and friendly. They offered me papadums as a starter. They came with authentic Indian sauces and were just right. I was craving goat so for my main course I selected goat biriani and a side of garlic nan. My server asked my spicy preference and I said “hot please”. Both dishes came promptly, were hot and perfectly prepared. The goat is bone in, succulent and tender. Also, the biriani came with a side of house made riata which more than enhanced the meal. Try this place out. It’s going to be on my must visit list every time I’m in the vicinity.
The food quality is outstanding, and there is a wide variety of menu options available. The service is incredibly friendly, although there were a few minor issues. The decor and seating area are quite simple, but that’s not a significant drawback. The wait times for food can be longer, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The portion sizes are generous as well. This is our third visit here in just a month, and we believe this restaurant is a fantastic find that deserves to be shared with the Calgary community. Highly recommended!
Excellent food and great customer service. We went Sunday night Gate of India to celebrate our anniversary With twelve people,restaurant was busy but server was very friendly and he arranged the big table for us, food and service everything was amazing.Owner is previous owner of Taste of India symons valley NW. I know Kailash very well and he is very famous chef and person in Calgary, keep it guys we will come back and recommend other people.
Gate of India is truly a hidden gem, and we're so happy to have discovered it! The food is absolutely amazing—rich in flavor with perfectly balanced spices. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. We've tried many Indian restaurants around Calgary, and this one is definitely our favorite! While we've only done takeout, I can say that the owner and staff have always been friendly and wonderful.

We went there for dinner. The food was amazing, we tried Kadai Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani all food were delicious.We only had Vegetarian dishes, they have huge variety to choose in the veggie menu.As a starter AChari Paneer tikaa was so delicious.We will be back for sure and recommend to everyone.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I visited for the first time today with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The staff was friendly, and the food was the best Indian cuisine I've experienced in Calgary so far! The portion sizes were fantastic as well. I absolutely loved it!
The food is excellent, with generous portions and reasonable pricing. The only downside is the wait times, which could be improved. However, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile.

Food was delicious, delivery came on time, lot of choices for dishes. We will definitely order delivery again. Our 2 and 4 year olds enjoyed it too.
