Gates -b-q - Table reservation

I’ve been coming to gates for almost 40 years. It has went downhill in the last few years. No one pays attention, the order taker, the cook, the cashier…. No one. Ordered a beef on bun on bread, repeated it three times over the course of my wait, and it came out on a bun. I also ordered a double decker ham hold the sauce. It had three slices of ham between each section of bread, and sauce on it: The people ahead of me ordered extra crispy fries, so I get home to driftwood French fries too. Just no attention to any detail. Ollie Gates would fire everyone in that place on the spot were he still in the day to day operations.

I have never had such horrible experiences at a Gates restaurant like this, customer service is non-existent, what happened

I was surprised bbq was good....didn't like the sauces, service was good tho....

Always eaten take out. Easy to taste why Gates is the local favorite

Close early without any updated signage
