I'm only new to Brisbane and after a few months up here and not really seeing anything or going anywhere I came up with a way for me to get out of the house and see the city, so pretty much I'm on a mission to become a member at heaps of different clubs all over Brisbane. Because I work full time I can only do this on weekends or at night. Tonight I went to this RSL And was greeted with the rudest welcome. Granted it was 1 am I understand it was late so when we walked up to the glass doors and the security guard wouldn't open the door I wasn't upset. He asked for our membership cards, I told him we weren't members, then pulled out one of their brother club cards and put it to the door. after...
As Clubs go, this remains one of the best on the northside of Brisbane. The Staff are always friendly and are kept busy on most nights - theme nights mean a variety of meals and plenty of options in the Bistro. The Pizza from Zacs is value for money and always delicious. They seem to have got themselves in to a "rut" with the promotions but as long as they have the "pokie" players to subsidise everything they are on a winner.If you don't drink and you don't play the pokies you are going to have a very good night with free entertainment and heavily subsidised meals - all for a couple of dollars Membership. You might even win one of the Member's Draws.
Wood fire pizzas are very good the filling is loaded on and the service at the pike period is reasonable 20 minutes wait. The coffee is good as well. Lunch time snacks to meals are average prices to the area. There is a $12 seniors menu at lunch.As with most clubs in the area of Aspley Zillmere there is a special each night of the week in the restaurant. As for quality to price for the set menu I would be fare to say it is overpriced.The beer is well priced for members and the cost of membership is cheap Overall the club is well situated ample car parking and the staff are caring and service is their game.
We have been going to the Geebung RSL for years but its not the same anymore, we hadnt been for awhile so we decided to go for one of their woodfire pizzas. I was not impressed, it was very dry, burnt around the edges, tasteless and didnt enjoy it at all. They have put their prices up but even their food is not good...it use to be so full down there on a saturday night. People would eat at the bistro then move over to where Zacs is and listen to the music, but it has changed...

Food is no longer value for money . Salads at the Bistro have not been great for sometime but the salad at Zacs has been getting worse. Poker Machines are no longer any fun The staff are still warm and friendly Cash / card system is frustrating and over rated in the fact, people do like to see their money fall out into the hopper I myself tend to go past my limit: instead of pulling my money out periodically and taking a breather
You must check out Geebung-Zillmere RSL! whether it's during the week or on the weekend, their pizza's at Zac's Café are to die for. Not only are they huge, but they are full of real toppings and cheap as chips. The RSL has great atmosphere on the weekends with good music & plenty of gaming machines. Be sure to check it out!
Anyone who goes to an RSL pretty much knows what to expect. This is our local RSL & we like to pop down mainly for their woodfired pizzas on a night I don't want to cook or to meet with family. Child friendly.The Irish band that plays regularly are great.
Good sized meals. my daughter got roast of the day she thought it was cold they didn't hesitate to exchange it. Staff very polite and on the ball. They do a great pizza as well. All in all it was a great lunch

A short 5 minute drive from our Boondal hotel, and easy parking in the large carpark. Friendly staff, great steak and the most amazing mushroom sauce I have ever had.
Zac's is much better value than Bistro G Especially when salad is in a light meal Also the meals are better value
