We set up reservations a few weeks in advance for this brunch spot. We asked to have our table moved times due to the sun and heat of the outside seating. Thankfully we were one of the first patrons of the day, so although they seemed annoyed with the request there appeared to be plenty of table options. The claim was that it would back up their servers, but there were very few people in the restaurant when we got there, and we again took the time to make reservations weeks in advance. The grouper was quite good with a nice succotash setup. i did not have the filet, but one of our diners did and it looked good as well. We did over-order with the Geist yeast rolls, bruschetta, and then broiled oysters before turning to the entrees. Had I to do it over again, the Bruschetta and the oysters would have been sufficient. Server was knowledgeable about the (somewhat limited) wine list and the specialty cocktails. Having told him what we liked, he was able to guide us to a good wine (and not the most expensive). No dessert for our table as we were heading to a show following the meal, but the list has always contained temptations
Geist is back after being utterly destroyed by the tornado last year. Everything was perfect, the food and service about the best in Nashville
I love the food at Geist, however last night the service was incredibly poor. I would not recommend this restaurant for large groups
