I must say that this place was absolutely fantastic at both places I was here. eating is inventive, delicious, fresh and high quality. the service is fast, attentive (I had literally refilled my drink 6x during lunch) and the staff was dressed in cool outfits (but not a traditional uniform.) the bar looked very cool and I like that they have a happy hour. the thunfish was great, the venison fresh and tasty, and the mac n cheese decadent. but I must say that the steak top notch and the mushrooms we are absolutely amazing. I had the bag and the ribeye. I am a native and will come back. I'll have all my lunch sessions here. I can't say enough good things. that miss this place would be a mistake...
I never got the chance to eat at George's Chophouse because we were never attended to. No hostess upon arrival--finally found one and was able to get seated. Ambience is horrible with a live jazz band as well as musak at the same time. Vanilla scents throughout gave my companion a headache and took away from what should be a steakhouse smell. And then the worst part, we sat for 17 minutes with menus and water but not a single person came, despite our efforts to attract the attention of a waiter. Unbelievable. I understand that the owner wants this to be a new take on a steakhouse. Well, it is. A steakhouse with the worst service and ambience I have ever been to.
Good food and good service overall, but terrible managment! For the price of steaks and sides you would expect a little more, but everything was well prepared and came hot. Dessert was another stone of Brownie burned and dry. Skip Dessert. Ambience a nice place for dinner, but TOO LOUD WITH LIVE MUSIC. We complained (and were often told to people) that the live music was too loud. Obviously, this is a frequent complaint and the managment refuses to waste the volume. If we decide to return, I will first ask about music and then make my food decision.
We really enjoyed George’s Chophouse. It is right across the street from a parking garage so you don’t have to walk very far from car to restaurant. The bacon appetizer was excellent. We got lamb-chops and the oz steak. Both very good! The crust on the lamb-chop was so good. We got three sides- brussel sprouts, loaded baked potato, and spicy broccolini. I would recommend for dinner or a special occasion

Lunch was quiet for a business meeting and the Prime Rib Buffett was legitimately excellent.
