My husband and I had dinner here and we were looking for some good German food. We ordered the pork schnitzel with a mushroom cream sauce and spaetzle and a grilled pork steak with grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon. Wow! We loved both of them...and they were so tasty. Each came with a salad and a home made dressing that was wonderful. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and the service was great. The waitress spoke English and was very friendly. I highly recommend this place

We were informed well in advance that you need to book a table for an evening, if you want to make sure you actually eat there. So we did it. Very good German cuisine, good choice, nice staff and good atmosphere. Every time we visit...Bingen, we go there. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best traditional German restaurants that I have had the pleasure to enjoy. In the fall they specialize in Wild Game Dishes in a traditional German presentation. The wines are excellent to accompany any selection

Want to go for local food, local style, local wine? The swollen heart is such a place. Not fancy but authentic something that becomes more and more rare. Enjoy the quality wine at reasonable prices from local producers
