Unfortunately, Giant Ramen was a giant let down for me. I was craving ramen and decided on Giant Ramen because it had good reviews. I got the spicy ramen and an order of gyoza, the gyoza are pan fried not deep fried (FYI) and they were pretty good. I ordered my food to go and the packaging was less than ideal, the broth was in a taller container with all the toppings already mixed in and they sank to the bottom. Came here to try the black garlic Tonkatsu ramen. I'll get straight to it. The broth- tasted like pollo loco chicken. Almost as if each bite had a slap of the chicken skin. I enjoy the taste of charred pollo loco but I understand that's not every bodies thing. The garlic flavor was there but It was subdued by a heavy use of pepper. I still went to town on it. I found this place randomly one evening,and I have to come back because this is probably my favorite ramen!/sushi joint in the area. They have dozens of rolls and many of them without the dreadful imitation crab meat, which is a huge advantage for people like me. I ordered the firecracker and the black garlic ramen, and they were both very very scrumptious, so I can't wait to come back here again with my partner so that we can try more rolls and more noodles!
