When I started working up in this area, Gilligan 's was the first potential lunch spot I stumbled across, and yet it took over a year before I finally made my debut though I did walk over once to get a pickup order involving catfish, but I decided that didn 't count). One co worker from the area gleefully told me a story about a stabbing that took place here several years ago, but a) I found no evidence of that and b) it honestly made this a more intriguing destination. We’ve been coming here for years. Used to respect food allergies but tonight we’re in the hospital. Told the brainless waitress tonight that there is a gluten allergy- celiac disease even went as far as saying “allergy to bread”. She didn’t listen and brought out a salad with croutons. Said please remake this as this is a severe anaphylaxis type allergy. She said she will fix it. I’m assuming she plucked the croutons off and didn’t have the salad remade because we’re in the hospital. Could have died because of the lack of intelligence, lack of care, lack of communication. If you can’t read or understand food allergies, work somewhere else.
The restaurant is consistently excellent. The warm bread served when dining in is delicious. They have the best bleu cheese dressing in the county, in my opinion. I haven't tried the shellfish or crustaceans, but I have sampled all the fish dishes and have always been satisfied. The restaurant also has a fresh fish market attached, and both the market and restaurant offer friendly service.
It was absolutely perfect. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. We got a bowl with lobsters, mussels and clams and it was so delicious. Our son ordered pasta with seafood wjich was also great. Oysters were fresh and great and fried calamari also delicious. Their lime pie was just perfect. We will be back soon. Thank you!

I ordered the chicken parmesan. I had enough leftovers for 2 lunches. The tomato sauce was fresh with chunks of tomato in it. The penne was perfectly cooked. And there's a nice dessert menu. I was too full to order the key lime pie. It was worth the wait. Of course if you love seafood, you get better food here than chain restaurants.
Really good seafood but cafeteria environment. The main dining area is very loud so if you're with children it works....but if not, I suggest you eat at the bar or in the dining area adjacent to the bar. Either way....the seafood is fresh and the service is usually great!!
I used to enjoy this restaurant, but the last two times I visited, the food was disappointing and the waitress seemed to forget about our table.
Gilligan's Clam Bar Grill was bustling with customers, but the service and wait time were well-organized, and the long line moved quickly.
