Although our reservation through Open Table never showed up in the restaurant's list, the overall experience at Gingambó was positive. The food was good. Nevertheless it seems that the restaurant is understaffed. There was a long wait in the pasta station and the seafood station lacked an attendant. Even though we waited for a while for someone to serve us at the seafood station, the servers that came along seemed to be busy and ignored our presence. Eventually we left the station without getting any service. That is not good for customers attending a seafood buffet for a special occasion
Even though it was the end of a holiday weekend, the restaurant was a bit slow. However, both the kitchen and wait staff were on top of their game. Our waitress, with long braids, was a delight and made great recommendations for our meal. She even convinced them to make us some garlic bread, which was not on the menu. The sangria was outstanding and the food was delicious. It was a great way to end a fantastic vacation.
buffet was far less than Prime. We were told it was Prime Meats but the meat was bottom of the barrel. I asked for a thick cut of roast beef and was given a piece as thick as a straw. The meat was well done. Overall it was a complete waste of money as was the breakfast the next day. Avoid at all cost
This restaurant offers a very relaxing atmosphere next to the pool. The food and service are great, but please note that no drinks are included, not even coffee or tea. The desserts are decent, although there are no chocolate options. Be prepared to pay extra for all beverages.

Greeted and seated promptly. Service was excellent. Seafood buffet contained all the usual suspects. Pasta station with various types of pasta along with shrimp,scallops etc.. Crab legs, coconut shrimp and much. much more. Desert bar offered something for everyone
I was extremely disappointed by the quality of food on NYE considering the outrageous cost per person for the buffet of the food was cold. Also, when making the reservation on Open Table, there was no communication on the menu being a buffet the cost per person
We dined at the restaurant located within our hotel. They were serving a meat buffet that evening. The selection ranged from the salad bar to various types of meats, all of which were excellent. The desserts were delicious and the service was top-notch.
Gingambo is a lackluster, overpriced, runofthemill hotel restaurant. The food was, in a word, boring. The service was quite good. But, with so many really fine restaurants within walking distance of the Marriott, there's really no reason to dine here
